FILMS on exorcism are a sure-fire hit also among the faithful, and this is why a Catholic apologists’ group is reprising a talk on this most controversial Catholic practice.
Defensores Fidei Foundation (DFF) is organizing an encore of the talk “Exorcism: Encounters with the Paranormal and the Occult” on August 16, 2014  at the Sanctuario de San Jose Parish in Buffalo corner Duke Sts., East Greenhills, Mandaluyong City.
It will be facilitated by no less than Fr. José Francisco “Jocis” C. Syquía, author of a bestselling book series on exorcism, and director of the Archdiocese of Manila’s Office of Exorcism.
The recent success of “Deliver Us From Evil,” and others before it like “The Exorcism of Emily Rose” and “The Exorcist” -- the one that started it all -- can attest to a deep-seated fascination with the spirit world, which the DFF hopes to educate with teachings from the Catholic Church.
The talk will enlighten participants on how exorcism is practiced in real life as opposed to how it is depicted in films and on TV.
The event is free of charge.
