AUTHORITIES at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport yesterday ordered employees, media men and security personnel to undergo a seminar about a new bomb technology used by terrorists.

Manila International Airport Authority general manager Alfonso Cusi directed assistant general manager for security and emergency chief Angel  Atutubo to update all NAIA personnel regarding the latest bomb technology known as the “Binary    system.”

Cusi said the information came from the US Transportation Security Administration.

Atutubo said this new technology had no metal or electronic moving parts, almost undetectable and alarms airport authorities around the world.

Cusi said he will look for possible procurement of a scanning device that can detect this kind of explosive.

He asked the Airline Operators Council to require their pilots and crews to wear proper identification cards while inside the airport’s premises.
