A LABORERS’ rally turned bloody when a pro-management worker attacked the strikers and stabbed dead one of them Sunday night in Quezon City. Police identified the victim as Miguel Ferrer. He was among the workers who picketed in front of the SMV Rock Garden in Mindanao Avenue demanding wage hike and additional benefits. Suspect Michelle Ysunza, 31, escaped after the incident. Police said Ysunza ordered the union members to vacate the place. When no one heeded, he reportedly dismantled the tents of the protesters. At the height of the commotion, the suspect allegedly pulled out a bladed weapon and stabbed Ferrer. |
