The quest for the coveted Binibining Pilipinas crowns ended early Monday morning of April 18 as winners of this year’s exciting pageant were revealed before a capacity crowd at the Big Dome.

A climax of the competition which lasted for three months, the finals night saw 40 beautiful and outstanding women from all over the country vying for the six Binibining Pilipinas titles at stake.

Admittedly this was a tough competition following the stellar successes of the reigning 2015 beauty queens. The historic win of Pia Wurtzbach at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant became a shining moment of glory for the Philippines which can now claim to be a beauty pageant powerhouse. The winning streak also continued with Anne Colis winning the Miss Globe 2015 title held in Toronto, Canada, as well as the impressive showing of Parul Shah, who was 3rd runner-up in the Thailand-based Miss Grand International 2015 and Christy McGarry’s 1st runner-up honor earned at Miss Intercontinental 2015. While Rogelie Catacutan was a semifinalist in the Miss Supranational 2015 pageant held in Poland, Janicel Lubina made it into the Top 10 in the Tokyo-based Miss International 2015 pageant, where she was also awarded Best Dresser.

Nothing short of grand, the coronation night was themed the Best Party Ever with reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach present and later crowned her successor. Her presence added luster to the already star-studded event – ably emceed by Xian Lim and KC Concepcion, and Bb. Pilipinas 2014 2nd Runner-Up Laura Lehmann, Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti and Miss Intercontinental 2014 2nd Runner-Up Kris Tiffany Janson – with a bevy of reigning and past queens and a distinguished panel of judges in attendance.
