Supporters, family and friends were unanimous in saying that Dr. Rabonza is truly deserving of the award.

Under her leadership for the last 32 years, SBCA has advocated the development of children.

Learning at SBCA is not confined to the four walls of the classroom and students are provided with authentic learning opportunities throughout the school year.

SBCA also invests in professionally qualified, well-trained and highly-motivated teachers who address the varying needs of all learners. The renowned institution’s teachers are active in the school’s Professional Learning Community and the administrators provide them with ongoing opportunities, spiritual and professional growth.

Field trips, school competitions and extra-curricular activities are conducted to complement what the students learn. Apart from being academically competent, SBCA students are also responsible citizens, effective communicators, and integrated individuals who are equipped with the needed skills to respond to local and global challenges.

Dr. Rabonza consistently  ensures that SBCA fosters a nurturing environment wherein all students feel safe and motivated to develop their talents, soar to greater heights, be the best that they can be, and eventually, make their mark in the world.

Keeping the school ownership strictly in the family ensures that SBCA’s vision, mission and philosophy are implemented through the years.

Dr. Rabonza’s altruism has rubbed off on her whole family as their school annually provides scholarships to deserving students whose families cannot afford quality private education.

One of her daughters, Ma. Flordeliza “Ritchie” R. de Guzman, is currently the vice president for Academics and Administration. She has learned the ropes from her mom and shares her vision of serving the community.

She adds, “My mom is a tough act to follow. Her whole life is a testament of service. She has made our school a beacon of hope for its students. She believes that all will be well in the world if your heart is in the right place. And that is the legacy she has passed on to my siblings and me. Our family, through SBCA, is committed to the goal of championing the optimal development of our students. The road is not easy. There are struggles every day. But we do know what SBCA stands for and that’s what keeps us going: Serve. Believe. Commit. Achieve.”
