AN American wanted by federal authorities for murder and other serious offenses was nabbed by the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
The American, identified as Yoshikoson Umeko Haddon, 28, was arrested Tuesday in Subic, Zambales by agents of the Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).
It was learned that BI Commissioner Jaime Morente had issued the mission order for Haddon’s arrest after being informed by the US Embassy that the fugitive’s passport was already revoked by the State Department, thus making him an undocumented alien. He now awaits deportation while in detention at the BI jail facility in Camp Bagong Diwa.
A US district court in Virgina issued a warrant for Haddon’s arrest in September last year in connection with the charges of capital murder, killing for hire and solicitation of adult to commit felony that he is facing there.
He had been described by US authorities as a dangerous felon, thus, his continued presence in the country is seen to pose a serious threat to public safety.
Once deported, Haddon will be placed in the immigration blacklist so as to prevent him from returning to the country.
