A 35-year-old glass installer was killed by his co-worker, who stabbed him repeatedly in the back while he was about to pee in an alley in Tondo, Manila, the other night.

Ronald  Obero, of 260 Dayao St., Balut, Tondo, died instantly due to several stab wounds in different parts of the body while the suspect, who got away, was identified as Jonathan Torres, of 182 Nava St., Balut, Tondo, and said to be the victim’s co-worker at the Lianco Mirror Corp. in Balut, Tondo.
PO3 Rodel Benitez of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said the incident took place at around 9:30 p.m. at the corner of Escoda and Kalakal Streets in Balut.
The workers of the said glass store, including the victim and the suspect, were said to be having a drinking spree after office hours when the victim excused himself to pee.
Unknown to him and their colleagues, the suspect trailed him already armed with a knife, stabbed him several times and then fled on foot once the victim fell to the ground.
Their drinking mates saw what happened and tried to corner the suspect but the latter was able to flee.
Police suspected that the victim and the suspect had a running feud.
