AN alleged hitman and Eastern Police District’s (EPD) most wanted person and high-value target was collared by the Pasig police following a buy-bust operation early yesterday morning.
EPD director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula identified the suspect as Jan-Jan Tulagan, alias Ambo, 26, single, of Asilo Ville, Bgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
Tulagan has a standing warrants for homicide, frustrated homicide and theft in different courts in Pasig City.
Sapitula said the suspect is listed as EPD’s no.1 most wanted criminal and no. 2 HVT.
Prior to the arrest, combined members of the Pasig Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Intelligence Division, led by Supt. Hendrix Mangaldan, and his men PO3 Joel Laraya, PO2 Jhasir Hapas and PO1 Reymar Galsim, nabbed Tulagan while about to board his Chrysler SUV (JTT-827) along Sandoval Ave., Bgy. Pinagbuhatan, at 12:30 a.m.
Senior Supt. Orlando Yebra Jr., Pasig police chief, said the buy-bust was conducted after a week-long surveillance and a tip from an informant.
A police poseur-buyer transacted with the suspect. When the latter handed the illegal drug worth P500 to the poseur, other operatives arrested him.
During search, police confiscated another five transparent plastic sachets of shabu from the suspect.
Police said the suspect is also a hitman reportedly involved in several killings in Pasig and Manila.
The suspect was detained at the Pasig Police Station.
