Jeep barker dies in gun attack

A jeepney barker was shot dead by an unidentified gunman for still unclear reason yesterday in Taguig
City.

The victim, Gregorio Davan, of Bgy. Western Bicutan, Taguig City, died on the spot from
several bullet wounds in the body.
    
Police said the unidentified gunman escaped after the incident.
    
Report coming from Southern Police District (SPD) said the incident took place at 12:40 a.m.
at PNR Site Main Entrance, FTI Compound, Taguig City.
    
Investigators said Davan was walking on his way home when the suspect suddenly appeared and
shot him several times. The gunman disappeared in the dark.
    
Police are still conducting a follow-up operation to establish the motive behind the killing
and possible arrest of the suspect.
    
Meanwhile, in Parañaque City, utility technician El Ronnie Lim, of 209 Rosal St., Masville,
Bgy. BF Homes, died after his motorcycle was sideswiped by a Pajero, throwing him off several meters
away.
    
Police said the incident took place at 5:30 a.m. on Dr. A. Santos Avenue, in front of a
hardware store.
    
Lim suffered broken bones and skull.
    
Police said Lim was rushed to Medical Center of Parañaque before he was transferred to PGH
where he was declared dead on arrival.
