A policeman assigned at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is now in ‘hot water’ after a businessman accused him of harassment and issuing threats on two separate occasions in Tondo, Manila.

In his complaint lodged before Chief Insp. Joselito de Ocampo, chief of the Manila Police District-General Assignment and Investigation Section (MPD-GAIS), victim Jesus Paderna, 39, of 1614 Malabon St., Sta. Cruz, Manila, identified the cop as PO1 Elmer Garcia, of Penalosa Street in Tondo.

He told police that the incidents took place on the nights of September 19 and October 8, at around 9:30 p.m. along Pavia Street in Tondo.

Paderna said that on both occasions, the cop went in front of his house and began shouting and cussing at him, while also threatening to kill him and his family, so he decided to file a formal complaint against him.

The said cop reportedly failed to appear at the MPD-GAIS to air his side, so a case of malicious mischief was filed against him.
