A security guard was wounded after he was shot by fellow guard following a confrontation over a woman in Mandaluyong City Sunday night, police said.
A report submitted to Senior Supt. Jaoquin Alva, Mandaluyong police chief, identified the victim as Raffy Lastimosa, 29, of CSI Colossal Security and Investigation Agency Inc. and native of Negros Occidental.
Lastimosa was rushed to Mandaluyong City Medical Center due to gunshot wound in the thigh but was later discharged after treatment.
The suspect, Lolito Cuambot Jr., also from the same security agency, immediately fled after the incident.
Investigation conducted by SPO1 Gregorio Acbay showed that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session at the DMCI Property Compound on M. Vicente St., Bgy. Malamig, at 8:25 p.m.
Minutes later, the suspect left and went to the victim’s room where the latter’s friend, identified as Mariel Demecino, was sleeping in his quarter.
Suddenly, Demecino came out from the quarter and said that the suspect touched her breasts while sleeping.
The victim confronted the suspect, triggering an argument between them.
At the height of their argument, the suspect pulled out his service firearm, a cal. .38 revolver, and shot the victim in the thigh.
The victim was rushed to the hospital while the suspect escaped.
