WITH a vow to continue its world-class vision to keep the roads safe, the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) headed by Chief Superintendent Arnold D. Gunnacao marks its 61st founding anniversary today by honoring its men and other individuals who have figured well in the unit’s six decades of service.
Gunnacao and PNP chief Director General Ricardo C. Marquez, the guest of honor and speaker in today’s event will present plaques of recognition and certificates to the awardees led by the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3 headed by Senior Supt. Roque Vega, chosen as the HPG Regional Highway Patrol Unit of the Year and the Bulacan Provincial Highway Patrol Team under the RHPU which is this year’s HPG Provincial Highway Patrol Team. Other awardees are the Laguna and the Tarlac Provincial Highway Patrol Teams.
Individual awardees are Supt. Ferdinand Villanueva, Chief Inspector Eric Reverente, Supt. Vergel Villasper, Supt. Elizabeth Velasquez, Chief Inspector Susan Planas, Senior Police Officer 2 Siegfred Framil, PO1 Manny Cayanan, SPO1 Arelen Driza, Non-Uniformed Personnel Benita Evelyn Mendoza and Marie-Cris Agcaoili.
Others are Supt. Christian Haveria, Supt. Ronald Hipolito, Supt. Oliver Tanseco, Supt. Conrado Villanueva, Supt. Alfredo Austria, Chief Inspector Raul Salle, Chief Inspector Leo Cajulao, Inspector Loreta Salgado, SPO4 Roldan Belledo, SPO2 Constancio Balilis, SPO2 Aurelio Bodo, SPO2 Joseph Allan Bongat, PO2 Amancio Diolola Jr.,
PO1 Noel Macanip, PO2 Allan Carurucan, PO3 Elemar Lacanilao, Senior Inspector Howell Joseph Greñas, Inspector Jeffrey Norte, SPO3 Emiliano Carlos Jr., SPO3 Jerry Dimas, PO3 Abriol Talango, SPO1 El Alexander Yarcia, and PO3 Catherine Guerrero.
The PNP-HPG will also present awards to organizations which have helped the unit specifically in its EDSA duties. They include the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association, Inc., the Automotive Association of the Philippines, the Chinese-Filipino Business Club, Inc., the Chinese General Hospital, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Inc., the United Daily Press represented by Mr. Jimmy Cheng and the PG Flex Plastic Group headed by Mr. Nelson Guevarra.
