DUE to inclement weather, work at the Senate was suspended as well as the Senate hearing on drug-related killings, including the death of 17-year-old Kian Loyd delos Santos.
Senate Secretary Lutgardo Barbo announced on Tuesday: “No office work today (except for skeletal force, e.g. Security, maintenance) due to inclement weather especially floods.”
The inquiry on the controversial deaths of Delos Santos, 19-year-old Carl Angelo Arnaiz and 14-year-old Reynaldo de Guzman of the Senate public order committee, chaired by Sen. Panfilo Lacson, was cancelled.
“Due to inclement weather, the hearing of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs regarding recent killings will not push through today,” Lacson said in an advisory.
Other hearings scheduled for Tuesday was also cancelled.
