2 pushers slain, 8 users nabbed in Angeles, Laguna anti-drug ops

TWO suspected drug pushers were killed while eight users were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Angeles and Laguna.

Chief Insp. Reynold Macabitas, Pampanga Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief, identified the slain suspects as Crisanto Dulu, alias “Mike Muslim”, 37, and Rogelio Yu, alias “Nognog”, 51.
The two allegedly sold shabu to a poseur-buyer and as soon as they noticed that it was a buy-bust operation, they tried to escape through a creek in Bgy. Amsic, Angeles City, and fired at the chasing policemen on Wednesday night.
Recovered near the suspects’ bodies were a cal. .45 pistol and a cal. .38 revolver, both loaded with ammunition.
The operation was conducted by operatives of Police Station 2.
Meanwhile in nearby Mabalacat City, a suspected drug pusher was arrested for possession of six plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
Senior Supt. Joel Consulta, officer-in-charge of the Pampanga police, identified the suspect as Rizaldy Catajan, alias “dale”, 47, of Pamintuan Village, Bgy. Dau.
The suspect allegedly sold P500 worth of shabu to a police poseur-buyer before he was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In Laguna, eight suspected drug users were caught in pot session by the elements of Calauan police who were conducting foot patrol in Bgy. Kanluran Wednesday morning.
Chief Insp. Mederic Villarete, Calauan town police chief, identified the suspects as Christian Ian De Chavez, 19, Enrico Guzman, 23, Jesus Jestoni Baldemor, 24, Jomer Biscocho, 21, and Jerome Cayetano, 23, and two 17-year-olds, all residents in Calauan town.
The arrested suspects were reportedly using/smoking died marijuana leaves when chanced upon by the police at about 3:15 a.m. in Bgy. Kanluran.
During search, the suspects yielded five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing dried leaves and fruiting tops of marijuana with estimated street value of P500, two improvised sticks containing of suspected dried marijuana leaves, an opened plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, two disposable lighters, five rolled aluminum foils placed in a ziplock plastic sachet and scissors.
The recovered pieces of evidence were brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office in Sta. Cruz town for laboratory examination, along with  the arrested suspects.
