TWO most wanted drug personalities are now in jail after being arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in separate operations in Cebu, PDEA chair Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac Jr. said yesterday.

Cacdac identified the suspects as Gerson Ombos, 37, of Kamagong St., Lahug, Cebu, and Carlito Sabayton, 52, of Bgy. South Poblacion, San Fernando municipality.

The official said that Ombos was arrested by members of the PDEA Regional Office 7, who seized 13 plastic sachets containing around five grams of shabu worth P25,000, five plastic packets containing suspected shabu residue and drug paraphernalia.
On the other hand, Sabayton was arrested during an entrapment operation which resulted in the recovery of three plastic packets containing 12 grams of shabu worth P60,000 and the marked money.
Cacdac said that both suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
