CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Six alleged members of an illegal drugs group were arrested by the police in Bgy. San Matias, Sto. Tomas town last Monday afternoon.
Senior Supt. Joel Consulta, officer-in-charge of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office, said the suspects belong to the “Quizon Drug Group” which has been under surveillance for the past several weeks.
Consulta identified those nabbed as Roy Quizon, 41, Catherine Pineda, 37, Ragan Quizon, 31, Rolly Quizon, 40, Joey Quizon, 45, and Tristian John Tongol, 28.
The suspects were arrested after operatives from the provincial police and the Sto. Tomas municipal police implemented a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Mary Anne Padron-Rivera of the City of San Fernando Regional Trial Court against Roy Quizon for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Consulta said the “Quizon Drug Group” has been operating in Sto. Tomas and nearby towns of Pampanga.
He said their surveillance and tracking operations showed that the group has links with other notorious criminal syndicates in the province.
The police official said they will not stop going after illegal drugs group and individuals selling shabu and marijuana until Pampanga is cleared from the illegal drug menace.
