A man described as the ninth most wanted drug personality in San Miguel, Bulacan, was arrested by local police in a manhunt operation around 2 p.m. last Sunday, Bulacan Police Provincial Office chief Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr. announced yesterday.
Enrico Salvador, alias ‘Rico,’ a 45-year-old jobless resident of 39 Yakal Street, Barangay Paliwasan in San Miguel town, was arrested by the local police on the strength of a warrant of arrest for frustrated murder issued by the Malolos City Regional Trial Court Branch 12, said Caramat.
The suspect, also described as one of the Top 10 most wanted men in San Miguel, is now being held at the local police jail pending his turnover to court.
Over in Sarangani, a 24-year-old farmer was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency after he sold six kilograms of dried marijuana leaves worth P30,000 to an undercover officer last Friday, PDEA chair Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac Jr. said yesterday.
Michael Montibon, a resident of Sitio Alwas in Barangay Atlae, Malungon, Sarangani, is facing the prospect of being jailed for life following his arrest for sale of drugs during the anti-narcotics operation conducted by members of the PDEA Regional Office 12 near the suspect’s house.
