GENERAL Mariano Alvarez, Cavite -- A man, who seemed very nervous after being stopped at a police checkpoint, was arrested for carrying a revolver Saturday night.

Police said that they were conducting a random checkpoint on Congressional Road in Bgy. Poblacion 1 when they flagged down motorcycle-riding Carlos Royales, 33, of B25, L9, Southern Heights, Bgy. United Better Living, San Pedro City, at 11 p.m. for verification.

One of the policemen noticed that the suspect felt very nervous and holding on something in his waistline.

The officers led by Senior Insp. Rodel Sarmiento, the deputy chief of police, ordered Royales to roll up his shirt. A five-shooter cal. .38 revolver was recovered from him.

Royales failed to show documents for the gun so policemen filed charges against him.
