CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga -- At least 168 individuals benefited from the P700,000 worth of livelihood assistance provided by the provincial government of Pampanga through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda on Monday led the turnover of the livelihood equipment that was also graced by Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Department of Labor and Employment Provincial Director Arlene Tolentino, PESO Manager Luningning Vergara and provincial board members.
PESO Community Affairs Officer Michael Regala said the beneficiaries received 50 sewing machines worth P531,500 and 16 sets of starter kits for air-condition and refrigerator repair amounting to P239,024.
The associations that received 10 sewing machines each were the sewers from San Simon, CARE Consumer Cooperative in Clark, Mabalacat City, and sewers from Lubao and Porac; while 16 groups or 80 individuals also got starter kits from the agency.
Tolentino added that the DOLE and the PESO are set to conduct another distribution where 12 nego-trailers, 10 nego-karts and 50 push carts will be dispensed.
