Triker gunned down

BAUAN, Batangas -- A 44-year-old tricycle driver was shot dead by unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen while sitting inside his vehicle parked near a waiting shed on Kapitan Ponso St., Poblacion 2, here, Wednesday afternoon.

Town police head Chief Insp. Alfie Salang identified the victim as Ronaldo Gabayano Robles,  married, of Villa Marie Subd., Bgy Sto. Domingo, this town.
Aurora Delantar Aquino, 53, vendor, of Daete St., Nursery Poblacion 2, Bauan, who was in the shed, was hit by a stray bullet, Salang said.
Case officers PO3 Louie Ericson C. Brual and PO1 Ronner Herman C. Alzate said Robles was in his trycycle parked near a waiting shed at 3:05 p.m. on Kapitan Ponso Street when the two unidentified MC-riding suspects arrived and stopped in front of him.
One of the suspects shot Robles multiple times in the body and fled. A stray bullet hit Aquino who was sitting inside the shed.
The triker was declared dead on arrival at Bauan General Hospital by attending physician Dr. Wiston Ilagan.
A team from the Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered three spent shell casings for cal. 9mm at the scene.
