“I WISH them all success,” Presidential Communications Office (PCO) secretary Martin Andanar quoted President Rodrigo Duterte  as saying  when he was informed about the so-called LeniLeaks or a supposed plot to oust him from Malacanang Palace.

In fact, Andanar said the President was unfazed by the destabilization plot supposedly contained in emails dubbed “LeniLeaks”, involving a member of Vice President Leni Robredo’s staff and sympathizers abroad.

President Duterte has previously brushed aside coup plots against him.

“So that’s the purpose, my purpose dito sa buhay na ito. Eh kung iyan ang suwerte ko, pasensiya. Sasabihin mo na ousted, coup‘d etat… so be it. Assassinate? So be it. Eh, ihulog mo ng eroplano kasi—tutal commercial flight iyan, maraming insurance iyan. I take the—kasi magastos iyong jet eh, eh nahihiya ako sa tao,” Duterte said.
National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon has said that LeniLeaks was not on the agenda of the Cabinet meeting on Monday because Duterte and the secretaries had more important matters to discuss.
Andanar however bared that he discussed LeniLeaks with Esperon and Information and Communications Technology Secretary Rodolfo Salalima on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting.
Andanar told those behind the supposed LeniLeaks to prepare to be investigated.
“Siguro ang gawin na lang siguro ng mga taong involved dito is to prepare their answers once the investigation kicks off,” Andanar said.
“Kahapon, kausap ko na po si Secretary Jun Esperon, kausap ko rin po si Secretary Rudy Salalima ng DICT at ipinasa na namin itong dokumentong ito kay DICT Secretary Rudy Salalima para sa online forensic investigation,” he added.
“Because of course, I am not saying na iyong mga involved na tao dito ay sila talaga. We give them the benefit of the doubt. We don’t want to jump to conclusions. So it has to go through a vetting process,” Andanar said.
Robredo has already denied links to LeniLeaks but Andanar pointed out that the people tagged in the leaked emails were members of her staff.
“Totoo namang wala naman si Vice President Leni Robredo sa mga emails, hindi naman siya direktang sumagot o naging aktibo dito. But merong miyembro ng kanyang opisina na aktibo dito,” Andanar said.
