RP Youth Elite received a big boost from Ian Chua to roll back Vikaw, 102-61, in the 2017 Youth Basketball Cup Summer Showdown at the DPS covered courts in Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City.

Chua routed all guards thrown against him to score a tournament-high 40 points against Vikaw in their 12 years old and under battle  in the event organized by MBR Sports of  PBA player-turned-coach Rensy Bajar.
    
Chua, who also finished with five assists and three steals, earned “Best Player of the Game’ honor.
    
St. Clare College-Caloocan outsteadied  Manuel Luis Quezon University, 19-78, in the 25 years old and under division; and Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches  whipped  ECA, 95-81, in the 17-under category.
    
Prince Casin carried the fight for the Caloocan  City-based Saints with 24 points, six  rebounds and three assists against MLQU.
    
Francis Clarino scattered 19 points, five assists  and three steals  to power  SHAN to victory over ECA.
    
Casin  and  Clarino both earned  “Best Player of the Game”  award.
    
Earlier, Claret  School   trounced   Ateneo de  Manila, 71-63, behind the heroics of  Clark Cordero  in  their 12 years old and under battle.
    
Cordero finished with 27 points, five  assists  and  five steals for Claret.
