Diliman too strong for UB

TOP favorite Diliman College made it two wins a row by blasting Diliman College Blue Dragons beat University of Batangas, 75-60, in the UCBL Season 2 basketball tournament at the Olivarez gym in Paranaque.

Joseph Brutas and Jericho Mondalla energized the Blue Dragons with their game-long brilliance.
    
Brutas finished with 22 points while Mondala added a double-double performance  with 12 points  and 12 rebounds for Diliman, which debuted with  a  close 67-65 ein over Technological University of the Philippines over the weekend.
    
Diliman’s “Tower of Power”,  Alex Diakhite, had a  modest nine-point, nine-rebound showing for the Quezon City-based team.
    
The hard-working 6-9 Daikhire had 33 points and 16 rebounds in  Diliman’s win over TIP.
    
Actually, the Dragons held the Brahmans without a basket in the final six  minutes to win pulling away.
    
With the win, Dikiman College  earned a share of  the  lead with MBL Open champion  Colegio de San Lorenzo with identical 2-0  win-loss records.
    
“I give credit to my players for their  hard work and  determination  to  win. I praise God  for this win and bring back the glory to him,” said Diliman  coach  Rensy Bajar.
    
Bajar thanked Diliman College president Nikki Coseteng  and  team  manager Jerome Ngo of Gerrys Grill for their continued support to the team.
    
UB suffered its second straight setback.
