ABOUT 150 houses were gutted down in a fire that hit a residential area in Isla De Romero, Quiapo, Manila over the weekend.
The Manila Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said that the fire began at 12:11 p.m. and reached second alarm before it was declared under fire control at 1:21 p.m.
The BFP reported that firefighters had a hard time putting out the fire due to the constricted areas and traffic. The houses were said to be made of light materials.
No one was harmed or injured in the said fire whose estimated damage to property is yet to be established.
Arson probers are still determining what caused the fire.
