1,588 GenTri frontliners get 1st jab, senior citizens next

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite — The City Health Office here said around 1,588 were given the AstraZeneca vaccine during the weeklong inoculation in three tertiary private hospital and public hospital and health centers in the locality.

The City Health Department is now preparing for the inoculation of around 28,000 senior citizens of the said city when the vials are properly delivered by Department of Health Calabarzon.

The city government is calling on the senior citizens in the 33 villages of the city to register online to get the COVID-19 vaccine not later than April 5, 2021.

Dr. Jonathan Luseco, city health officer, said they can use the link www.generaltrias.gov.ph/cho/covax or scan the QR Code on the General Trias City LGU Facebook page.

We are planning to make the GenTri convention center as our Vaccination Hub for mass vaccination,” Luseco said in an interview.

Mayor Antonio ‘Ony’ Ferrer urged his constituents to stay home for their safety, wear face mask and shield, keep their distance from others, and not to go out unless it is essential.

Gen. Trias City has 3,349 confirmed cases, 371 active cases, 2,926 recoveries and 52 deaths as of April 2, 2021.
