TARLAC CITY – The 1st Civil Relations Group, Civil Relations Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines (1CRG CRSAFP) together with the Regional Emergency Assistance Communications (REACT) Team Region 3 and 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion Philippine Army took part in the Brigada Eskwela’s culminating activity on Friday (August 26, 2022) at Suizo Bliss Elementary School.
Part of the program is the Brigada Pagbasa Storytelling Session, where the pupils listened to the story read by the soldier.
Major AL Anthony B. Pueblas, Acting Group Commander of the 1CRG CRSAFP, said that this is a good step toward showing children that soldiers are not to be feared.
Meanwhile, 1CRG CRSAFP and REACT Region 3 donated buckets of paint for the school’s repair, facemasks for the children, and 5 kilogram packs of rice that benefited 70 pupils of Suizo Bliss Elementary School. The children were also treated to yogurt and ice cream.
Ms. Lennie S. Arancillo, Brigada Eskwela Focal Person, expressed her appreciation to the AFP and stakeholders for their assistance. “We are grateful that our school is one of your beneficiaries, and I hope you will not tire of assisting us and will continue to be our partners in our Brigada Pagbasa and Brigada Eskwela.”
REACT Region 3, a group of radio communication enthusiasts willing to do voluntary work, also expresses their gratitude for involving them in such activities.
“We are grateful for this opportunity to participate in this event alongside the armed forces. In the future, I hope you will invite us again to render voluntary service in the communities, as we always do in Tarlac and in other provinces”, said Mr. Percival Liwanag the group chief.
The 1CRG CRSAFP and the Northern Luzon Command AFP extend their gratitude to the stakeholders and will always be ready in their commitment to support government programs for the benefits of the youth and the community.
