2 drug suspects nabbed in Laguna

TWO of three suspected drug pushers were nabbed while one escaped during an anti-illegal drug operation Thursday evening in Siniloan, Laguna.

Siniloan, Laguna police chief PMajor Silver Cabanillas said those who were arrested were identified as Ronelo Pelaez Mulay, welder, and Paciano Tarala Malanyaon Jr., farmer, both resident Bgy. Burgos, Siniloan.

Cabanillas said that Jefferson Manalo, included in the SLI watchlist, was still at large.

The buy-bust was conducted by police operatives at about 6:40 p.m. in Bgy P. Burgos, Siniloan.

Operatives led by PMSg Abe L Lopez and seven others conducted a follow up operation against illegal drugs with coordination with the PDEA-4A.

PAT Jeffrey Sardan acted as poseur buyer and through the aid of a confidential asset, Sardan managed to buy one piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from @JEPOY in consideration of P1,500.00.

After the transaction between the suspect and the police poseur buyer, the suspect Manalo sensed that he was dealing with a police operative and suddenly, without hesitation, he drew his firearm tucked on his body and fired upon the police officer forcing the police operative to return fire hitting the suspect from his body but the suspect fled away immediately going to mountainous area of Bgy P. Burgos, Siniloan.

The two suspects were arrested for violation of RA 9165.

Afterwards, Sardan conducted preventive body search against the suspects and confiscated from the duo the suspected shabu.
