CAMP Brig. Vicente Lim, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna — Two members of highway robbery-holdup group were killed when they entangled with police intelligence units from the Regional Office 4A last Sunday in Cainta, Rizal.
The suspects, whose identity were still not available, were flagged down by the policemen in Bgy. San Andres, Cainta at 1 a.m.
Police said they noticed the vehicle, a Toyota Fortuner (NOF 845) was not registered since 2015, and ordered the occupants to step out, but the suspects sped away, triggering a chase that led to shootout, killing two of four occupants.
The other suspects including the leader identified as ‘Barry’ and another co-hort managed to escape. The group were members of ‘highway boys’ operating in Rizal province.
