PALAYAN CITY — A supposed anti-illegal logging raid Thursday night here turned out negative but government forces were not empty-handed as they still came out successful in their operation with the arrest of two men caught having a drinking spree and in possession of four unlicensed guns, a hand grenade, including several live ammunition.

City police head Lt. Col. Santos D. Mera Jr. identified those nabbed as Pepito G. Torres, 52, of Bgy. Doña Josefa, this city; and Fernando Albo, 56, of Bgy. Lourdes, Cabanatuan City.

The anti-illegal logging operation was conducted in Sitio Guyabano, Bgy. Blanco.

Wala, boga lang ang nakuha ng PNP, wala naman nakita na mga kahoy ang mga rumespondeng DENR at PNP,” said Blanco in his text message to the Journal Group yesterday.
