TWO suspected “high-value” drug targets in Metro Manila early Thursday evening were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency after they conspired to sell a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million to an undercover officer at the parking lot of SM Molino in Cavite.
Suspects Ato Labing Kasim and Jubaire Muhamad Kitab are facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA chair Director General Aaron Aquino said members of the PDEA Special Enforcement Service arrested the two after the suspects sold the drugs to a poseur at the 2nd floor parking lot of SM Molino in Cavite at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
PDEA-SES Director Levi Ortiz said they are investigating reports that a Chinese national serving his term at the National Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City was the source of the drugs recovered from the suspects.
Ortiz said Kasim and Kitab are known for using high-end vehicles to transport drugs in Metro Manila.Publication Source : People's Journal
