2 pushers leap from 4th floor to avoid pursuing cops, 1 dies

A suspected drug pusher died while his cohort was seriously injured when they jumped from the 4th floor of the resettlement building in their bid to escape from pursuing policemen during anti-drug operation Thursday evening in Caloocan City.

Caloocan police chief P/Col. Noel Flores said the suspect, identified only as a certain Albert died on the spot from massive head and body injuries while his companion, a certain alias “Dudoy” was rushed to Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries in the body.

Three others, identified as Jennifer Dizon, 29, Michael Meneses, 38 and a 15-year-old boy who were all residing at the 4th floor of NHA Camres 1, Bgy. 176, Camarin were arrested while in the act of sniffing shabu.

Col. Flores said that earlier at around 6:30 p.m., operatives of Station Intelligence Branch (SIB of Caloocan police North Extension Office (NEO) received information regarding the presence of two alleged drug personalities who were about to deliver illegal drugs at NHA Building.

Upon checking the veracity of report, operatives were able to trace the suspects but when the two sensed the presence of lawmen, they went inside Room 407 at the 4th floor of the resettlement building which prompted the police to give chase where they saw the ongoing pot session inside.

To elude arrest, the two suspects jumped off the building which resulted in the untimely death of Albert and seriously injuring his cohort.

Police recovered from the area five pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing undetermined quantity of shabu and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.
