2 ‘robbers’ cornered at Lipa gasoline station

TWO men who were allegedly involved in a robbery incident in Alitagtag town, Wednesday afternoon, were arrested by police at a gasoline station in Bgy. Tambo, Lipa City.

Lipa City Police Station chief Lt. Col. Lory Tarrazona identified the arrested suspects as Mark Nashir Sioco Sarif and Johnny Mayo Sioco.

Tarrazona said the suspects were allegedly involved in a robbery 1:50 p.m. on April 13 in Bgy. Dominator East.

Alitagtag town police said the suspects reportedly fled on board a black NMAX motorcycle and a gray Toyota Corolla with plate number TJJ 483 after the robbery.

On April 14, cops spotted the suspects’ Toyota Corolla at a Shell gasoline station in Bgy. Tambo prompting the autheorities to approach and introduce themselves as police officers.

The cops immediately coordinated with the Alitagtag MPS to confirm the identities of the suspects by sending the plate number of the vehicle and pictures of the two suspects.

Upon confirmation, they arrested the two suspects.

Seized from Nashir were a Colt MK IV Series 80 caliber 45 pistol with SN 932614 with inserted magazine loaded with five live ammunition.

Recovered from Sioco were a brown sling bag containing a hand grenade.

Three helmets were also recovered from the compartment of the vehicle.

The suspects were brought to the Lipa CPS together with the recovered evidence for proper disposition.
