2 yield P3.4M shabu in Tarlac

BAMBAN, Tarlac — Two drug suspects believed to be among the major suppliers of shabu in Tarlac and Pampanga were arrested by operatives of

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA3) and Pampanga and Tarlac police last Tuesday evening.

Operatives of PDEA3, Tarlac and Pampanga Provincial Offices, PRO-3 Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, and Tarlac Provincial Intelligence Branch conducted an entrapment operation along McArthur Highway, Brgy. San Roque, this town, late Tuesday evening.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of P3,400,000 worth of methampethamine hydrocloride or shabu.

In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Wilkins M Villanueva, PDEA-3 Regional Director Christian O. Frivaldo identified the arrested suspects as Asnoden Hassan alias Anthon, 23, resident of Bgy. Sto. Tomas, Pasig City; and Renz Keizer Tarca Bermudez, 19, resident of Bgy. Palatiw, Pasig City.

Confiscated from the suspects were of a resealable plastic bag containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 500 grams (with DDB value of P3.4 million), keypad cellphone, P1,000 bill used as buy bust money, five bundles of boodle money, and a Toyota Vios with plate number ABQ 2767.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) of Art II in relation to Section 26B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
