AROUND 200 homes were gutted by fire that hit one after another in Tondo, Manila early yesterday morning.
The Manila Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire first struck at 12:03 a.m. at Barangay 650 in Port Area, Manila.
At least 200 houses made of light materials were razed by the fire that reached fifth alarm and declared as ‘fire out’ at 6:59 a.m.
At 1:55 a.m., another fire hit the Pas Compound in Brgy 123 Tondo. It also reached fifth alarm and was contained at 11:05 a.m.
No one was reported injured or killed in the said fire incidents.
An investigation is being conducted by the arson division to establish the cause of fire and estimated damage to properties.
