23 COVID deaths among Pinoys abroad — DFA

THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday said 23 Filipinos abroad were reported to have died from COVID-19.

“Figures today show two new COVID-19 cases, 23 new fatalities, and no new recovery among Filipinos abroad,” according to the DFA.Z

The additional figures brought the total number of COVID-19 cases and recoveries among Filipinos abroad to 14, 556 and 9,155, respectively in 86 affected countries.

Deaths due to COVID-19 are now at 977 and 4,424 are still undergoing treatment, the DFA report said.

The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, remains fully committed to monitoring and assisting our nationals abroad amid the pandemic, it added.
