Office of Transportation Security (OTS) spokesperson Kim Marquez said that the passenger, identified as Mamayla Tatang, was nabbed after OTS Screening Officer (SSO) Gerlyn Siwa saw the image of a firearm from Tatang’s luggage after it underwent x-ray screening.

Marquez said that SSO Siwa was conducting x-ray scanning on passengers of AirAsia flight Z2 611 that was Davao-bound, when she saw an image resembling a firearm.
