3 nabbed, P.2M MJ seized in QC buy-bust

THREE drug suspects were arrested and yielded more than 1 kilo of dried marijuana leaves during a buy-bust operation on Thursday night in Bgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Ronnie S Montejo identified the suspects as Mark Limuel Mazo, 21, Andy Mariano, 23, both from Bgy. Batasan Hills and John Paul Antonio, 21, of Bgy. Payatas.

The report showed that Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of PS 5 received information from a concerned citizen regarding the illegal drug activities of the suspects.

At about 8:30 p.m. on October 29, 2020 a joint buy-bust was set on 18A Resolution Street, Talanay Area C, Bgy. Batasan Hills.

An undercover cop bought P4,500 worth of marijuana from the suspects and at the given pre-arrange signal, the suspects were arrested.

Aside from the buy-bust money, seized from the suspects were more or less a kilo of dried marijuana leaves valued at P229,800 and a cellular phone used in their drug transaction.

In another buy-bust operation, PS 5 operatives arrested Flordeliza Sachez, 39 of Bgy. Balon Bato, and Bernadette Reynon, 35, of Bgy. 156, Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City and Mariano Casela, 36, of San Mateo, Rizal, at about 7:00 PM, October 29, 2020, along Valiant St. Brgy. Greater Fairview. Confiscated were five grams of shabu valued at P34,000, cellular phone,black Yamaha MIO-I 125 motorcycle and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
