THREE persons including two women were senselessly killed while chatting in an alley in Bgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City, on Saturday night.
The victims identified as Marites Betito, 47, Raquel Madunga, 39, and Jimel Donaire, 24 all residents of Bgy. Batasan Hills were declared dead upon arrival at the East Avenue Medical Center and Quirino Memorial Medical Center due to multiple gunshot wounds in their heads and bodies.
Another resident of the said barangay identified as Arvin Viola, 22, was hit by stray bullets and is still undergoing treatment in a hospital in Quezon City.
A report from the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit showed the incident happened at about 9:14 p.m.,October 24, 2020, in an alley along Livelihood Street, Talanay Area C, Bgy. Batasan Hills.
A witness told the police that she saw the victims chatting at the said place until she heard successive gunshots from outside.
When the victims went out to verify, she saw the victims slumped bloodied on the pavement.
Police said they have not yet to establish the motive behind the killing of the victims because nobody from the barangay wanted to speak.
