A TOTAL of 33 Chinese nationals, including a baby, were deported to China by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) for their involvement in illegal POGO activities.
The deportees were escorted by personnel from the PAOCC, PNP Aviation security group and Chinese Embassy.
PAOCC head, Usec Gilbert Cruz said the Chinese nationals boarded PAL flight PR-336 going to Xiamen which left at 11:15 a.m.
Cruz said there are other Chinese nationals involved in illegal activities who are currently being processed also for deportation to China.
According to Cruz, the government has already been spending a lot of money for the said Chinese nationals and that their human rights are being protected.
Too, Cruz said that the campaign against illegal POGO hubs is a continuing thing, specially since their activities have spawned crimes which had been a constant source of headache for the government.
The POGO workers, he said, are being considered as scammers who victimize not only their fellow Chinese but also foreigners.
