36,446 in Caloocan priority list to be vaccinated

CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan announced that around 36,446, are among the Priority Eligible Group A to be first vaccinated in the city.

The mayor said that first on this list are health workers in health centers, public and private hospitals personnel, contact tracers, barangay health workers, senior citizens, indigent population and uniformed personnel.

Those in the Priority Group A of the city make up 19.58% of the city’s total population of 1.7 million,” Mayor Oca said.

The City Government targets to produce 481 vaccination teams to vaccinate 100 people per team in one day and to complete the vaccination of the first dose in Priority Group A within seven days.

At least 780,207 people or 45.2% of the total population of the city belong to Priority Eligible Group B, including teachers, social workers, government workers, essential workers, persons with disabilities and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).

The city government clarified that the list of Priority Group A and B are based on the guidelines issued by the Department of Health (DOH).
