TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – A truck driver and his three helpers were nabbed after they were caught engaged in a pot session inside a truck Monday morning here.

In his report to Mayor Nerivi Santos-Martinez, town police head Lt. Col. Heryl L. Bruno said his men were conducting anti-criminality and Oplan Sita operations along the highway in Bgy. Calipahan when they spotted an Izuzu Giga Forward truck parked on the shoulder at 4:30 a.m.

Upon checking, however, the four truck occupants, initially identified as truck driver Ryan, 36, of Paco Roman St., Cabanatuan City, and helpers Crispin, 31, of Bgy. Calipahan, this town, Mark, 20, and Dexter, both of Bgy. Gomez, Sta. Rosa, were caught sniffing shabu inside the vehicle.

Recovered from the suspects were two plastic sachets containing shabu, three disposable lighters, two aluminum foil strips, a foil tooter and a pair of scissors.

Bruno said charges for violation of Section 12 and 15 of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing against the arrested suspects before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
