4 Kidnappers killed, victim recued in QC

AUTHORITIES rescued a Chinese national and neutralized his four kidnappers during a hot pursuit operation Friday morning in Bgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, Police Brigadier General Danilo P. Macerin said the still unidentified slain suspects were described as between 25 and 30 years old.

A report showed that at about 12:40 a.m. of January 22, 2021, personnel of the Anti-Kidnapping Group led by LTCoL. Morgan Aguilar coordinated with the District Special Operation Unit about the kidnapping of a Chinese national identified as Zhi Fu.

Police said the victim was kidnapped by four unidentified men on board color black Toyota Vios (XCE 939) at about 10:30 p.m. of January 21, 2021.

The incident was witnessed by Zhi Fu’s companion identified as Li Cheng who managed to escape and immediately reported the incident to the AKG headquarters in Camp Crames Quezon City.

Thereafter, the kidnappers contacted the family of Zhi Fu and demanded P20 million in exchange for his release.

A hot pursuit operation was immediately conducted by personnel of the AKG and DSOU.

Using the WeChat location and technical equipment of the PNP-AKG, the team managed to locate the suspects at 167, Sta. Maria Extension, Bgy. Holy Spirit.

The team went immediately to the said address. While the operatives were approaching the house, the suspects fired their guns prompting the police operatives to fire back

A brief shootout ensued which resulted in the neutralization of the four suspects while Zhi Fu was successfully rescued.

Crime Investigation Section (CIS) and Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) investigators arrived, conducted an investigation and recovered an M16 Rifle with magazine, three handguns, several ammunitions, two hand grenades and two sachets of shabu from the crime scene.
