4-minute daily workout for NCRPO men enforced

DON’T be surprised if you see members of the Metro Manila police force suddenly standing and gyrating to the sound of music inside their camps and stations nowadays.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director, Major General Debold M. Sinas said this is just part of their ‘4-Minute Workout’ in their camps and stations to keep them mentally and physically fit as they perform their anti-criminality duties 24/7.

Sinas said the simple 4-minute workout program was designed to sustain the physical well-being of all Metro Manila policemen while they are inside their camps, stations and sub-stations.

The daily workout requires every personnel to stand up, stop everything they are doing and do some stretching or jumping jacks whenever they hear music.

The music is set every 10:00 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily to aid one’s blood circulation and reduce hypertension. It was first launched last February 17 prior to the declaration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Metro Manila and other parts of the country by President Duterte.

The said program is one among the several initiatives of NCRPO to ensure the health and safety of NCRPO’s ‘front-liners’ in the battle against the unseen deadly virus.

“We are glad that the 4-Minute Workout helps in strengthening our personnel’s body alongside their own personal workout activities. Healthy and capable police officers are our best asset in maintaining peace and order in the community while also fighting the unseen enemy,” Sinas explained.
