4 suspects yield P231K shabu in CL

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Four suspects yielded some P231,000 worth of shabu during anti-illegal drugs operations conducted in different parts of Central Luzon over the weekend.

Hasanor Lumabao, listed in the drugs watch list database, and Lusila Manlapaz, both residents of Angeles City, were arrested by the city police during a buy-bust.

In the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, a buy-bust resulted in the arrest of James Paul Rey.

One Abdul Asis Ismael, a resident of Muslim Compound, Purok 6B, Bgy. Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales was arrested by joint personnel of the Subic MPS and PIU ZPPO in their anti-illegal drugs operation in Bgy. Mangan-vaca, Subic, Zambales.

Confiscated from the suspects were 17 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 33.81 grams with an estimated value of P231,600 and the P1,500 bills used as marked money.

Appropriate charges for violatiom of Sec. 5 and Sec 11 Art II of RA 9165 are being prepared against the suspects.

Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon said the PNP PRO3 is continuously conducting proactive operations to invigorate its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve its quest for a drug-free Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, a foreigner was arrested by authorities after repeatedly hitting his partner’s daughter in Angeles City on Friday.

Hun Kim, 41, Korean national, male, a resident of Timog Subd., Brgy. Pampang, Angeles City was arrested by police after his partner, Lady Jane Delara, 27, reported to authorities that her 4-year-old daughter was hit and punched by the suspect who was then intoxicated while they were on board their vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that last January, Kim was already reported at police station 2 by his live-in partner for physical abuse but the latter did not pursue her complaint.

The Korean is facing charges for violation of RA 9262.
