5 new active COVID cases reported in Oriental Mindoro

ORIENTAL Mindoro — Five new COVID-19 cases reported were reported in the province the City Health and Sanitation Department (CHSD) official said last Saturday.

The report said that a call center agent was infected by a co-employee and allegedly contacted a 57-year-old man, a woman, 56; a 36-year-old man, and an eight-year-old girl.

The CHSD official said a 21-year-old woman from Bgy. Sapul under imvestigation has been confirmed to be COVID-positive.

Meanwhie, a 25-year-old female staff of acommercial bank from Bgy. Guinobatan has recovered from the virus.

As of October 24, Oriental Mindoro reported a total of 473 cases, 43 new active cases, with 424 recoveries, and six deaths.

Oriental Mindoro Gov. Bonz Dolor advises all Mindorenos to follow all health protocols, observe physical distancing, wear masks and face shields and whenever avoid unnecessary social gatherings.
