625 Kristine, Pepito-hit families in CamSur receive cash aid from DSWD

A total of 625 families from eight towns in Camarines Sur, whose houses were totally damaged by Tropical Cyclones Kristine and Pepito in October and November, respectively, received financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The DSWD Field Office 5 – Bicol Region, in partnership with the Provincial Local Government of Camarines Sur, facilitated the distribution of the cash aid on Wednesday (December 18) in the Municipality of Pili.

The beneficiaries from the municipalities of Iriga, Buhi, Bato, Lagonoy, Pamplona, Camaligan, San Fernando, and Libmanan each received Php10,000 under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS).

DSWD FO Bicol Regional Director Norman Laurio personally supervised the aid-giving.
