POLICE on Monday caught seven persons in the act of betting at a spider derby in San Luis, Batangas.
San Luis Municipal Police Station chief Captain Alfredo F. Fabregas said held were Randy Noche, Christian Hernandez, Archie Hernandez, Vincent Veloria, Alvin Armedilla, Archie De Villa and Mc Pesigan.
Elements of the San Luis MPS checked on a report of the illegal gambling activity in Bgy. Taliba and caught the seven suspects betting on the spiders.
Recovered from the scene were two tables which served as spider fighting pits, two sling bags with five spider cages loaded with 16 live spiders, five sticks, and bet money amounting to P2,480 in different denominations.
