9 charged over fake test kit results, travel passes

NINE persons, including a minor, were charged for faking public documents including rapid test kit results, travel authority and medical certificates.

PLt. Col. John Guiagui, station commander of the Manila Police District-Station 3, identified the suspects as relatives Rommel, 38; Randrex, 34; and Richelle Gonzales, 38; Elizabeth Raposas, 41; Mary Jean Guban, 30; Rose Marie Saludo, 32; Maricar Pabello, 33; Robert Sas, 20 and Ric,17.

The suspects were all detained at the said police station and charged with violation of Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code (falsification by private individual and use of falsified document) and Article 174 (false medical certificate in relation to RA 11332) before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office after they were arrested during a raid in their establishment in Sta.Cruz, Manila the other day.

Guiagui said they received information regarding the suspects’ illegal activities. He immediately sent a police asset to pretend as a customer and proceeded to the establishment, identified as RBG Motorcycle parts and accessories located at No. 1200 Mendoza corner Adelina Streets in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The poseur-customer then learned that the suspects charged from P300 to P500 for every fake document.

The raid was conducted by the police at around 4 p.m.where the team found the computers being used for the manufacture of fake documents.
