9 drug peddlers nabbed in Pampanga

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Policemen have arrested nine suspected drug peddlers in different parts of this province and seized P89,700 worth of shabu.

Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director,said Pampanga police operatives arrested the following suspects during buy busts in the province:

Florante Lelay of Bancal, Guagua town; Oliver Calma Songco of Bgy. Sto Cristo, Guagua, Pampanga; Kevin Gatus of Bgy. San Vicente, Bacolor; Teodoro Catli of Bgy. Atlubola, Mabalacat City; Aquino Calderon, Gil Gasid Andaya, and Jun Dizon, all residents of Sapa, Bgy. Telabastagan, San Fernando; Dante Ocampo Yumang of Barangay Sucad, Apalit; and Michael Guevarra of Bgy. San Isidro Matua, Masantol.

Confiscated from the suspects were 26 small and large plastic sachets containing crystalline substance suspected as shabu weighing about 13.4 grams with an estimated value of P89,700 and P2,500 marked money.

Also seized from Catli was an improvised .45 caliber handgun with five live ammo.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Art. II of Republic Act 9165 while Catli faces an additional charge for violation of RA 10591 for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

We are continuously conducting proactive operations against all forms of illegal drugs in the region and we will not stop until we achieve our quest of a drug-free Central Luzon,” De Leon said.
