ACDO Medical Team and Elim Community Enhance Well-Being of PDL Through Health Outreach Program

The ACDO Medical Team and Elim Community successfully executed a Health Outreach Program at the South Sector Visitation Area of Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory. This initiative aimed to provide essential health services and support to persons deprived of liberty (PDL).

Led by Dr. Henry G. Rosalejos for dental services and Dr. Eva Kelly for medical services, the outreach offered a comprehensive range of free services. These included medical and dental consultations, tooth extractions, dentures, haircuts, reflexology, reading glasses, medications, and spiritual confession. The program addressed immediate health needs, enhanced oral and overall hygiene, improved vision, and provided personal grooming services to boost morale.

Supervised by City Jail Warden JSUPT WILLIAM T MANENGYAO, DPA, the event significantly contributed to the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of the PDL. Such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and positive environment within jail facilities.
